The Auto Fill Water to Earthing Pit System circuit utilizes a soil moisture sensor, comparator IC LM393, and a relay. The soil moisture sensor detects the absence of moisture in the soil, and the LM393 comparator triggers a relay to activate the water pump when moisture is low. When moisture is detected, the water pump stays off, ensuring efficient water usage.
Application of the Circuit:
Traditional soil moisture-based systems use costly and complicated components, but this circuit leverages a readily available moisture sensor, simplifying the design while keeping costs low. It detects soil moisture and automatically activates a water pump to fill the earthing pit when moisture is insufficient, enhancing water efficiency.
Why This Circuit:
The soil moisture sensor probe is key for detecting moisture levels accurately, making the circuit reliable and cost-effective. It operates on a DC voltage of 5V, ensuring easy installation and use with a DC power supply.
Explained Working of the Circuit:
The core idea is to turn on the water pump when moisture is low, using the soil moisture sensor to detect the moisture level. The LM393 comparator processes the sensor’s input, activating the relay to control the water pump. In normal conditions, when moisture is present, the water pump remains off; in the absence of moisture, the pump turns on.
